"Scream Cacklack" and Carolina Rollergirls!

It seems the Carolina Rollergirls roller derby organization has taking a liking to "Scream Cackalack". We shouldn't be surprised though; Tye's song is energetic, hard-hitting, and full of Raleigh-Durham pride. And so are the Carolina Rollergirls. This Saturday at 8PM Tye will open up for the CRG All-Stars in their final bout (that's what match ups are called in roller derby lingo) against the Blue Ridge All-Stars at this year's "Got to Be NC" Roller Derby Expo. We plan to shoot some footage of the performance and the bout for the "Scream Cackalack" remix video. Plus we're giving away copies of the "Living a Dream" CD. So come on out and wear your black and red to cheer on CRG! Tickets are $10 for 6 family-friendly bouts - all day beginning at 10AM at Dorton Arena (NC State Fairgrounds) in Raleigh. Tytanium Music: New Year = New Opportunities

2009 proved to be one of the best years yet for us as artists and as an indie hip hop label. Is it possible that 2010 could get any better? Yes! We used 2009 as a year for building a strong foundation for the label, and the release of Tye's Living a Dream album provided us with a perfect vehicle for making our presence felt. The album outsold the previous one in less than 3 months and was made accessible to more than 43 million music lovers when it was included in the Music Genome Project and Pandora Radio. Live performances picked up significantly and we were honored to perform at the fundraising concert for M.o.M.S. The music video for the lead single "I'm Still Cool" was featured on Pandora's new video series, TV music video shows worldwide, and in stores, hotels, and restaurants throughout the US and Canada. The song itself garnered Tye and Hylandah a semi-finalist nod in the International Songwriting Competition's (ISC) R&B/Hip Hop category... Both artists also found time to add to their acting resumes by landing roles in both commercials and film, with Tye being a cast member for On the Market, which was awarded "Best Ensemble Cast in a Short Film" at the New York International Film and Video Festival. The year was not without its challenges, and yet the passing of loved ones and the Hurricanes hockey lawsuit only served to underscore that we have accomplished so much as artists and actors, and as a label. The music video for the lead single "I'm Still Cool" from Tye Banks' album Living A Dream has been selected as the main feature on the Pandora Video Series for Monday, August 24th. With a growing user base of nearly 30 million registered listeners, Pandora is the largest online music site based on monthly unique visitors. The Pandora Video Series features music videos, videos about making music, and concert footage from artists of all genres. Tye Banks, Hylandah Semi-Finalists in 2008 ISC!

Tye Banks and Hylandah were recognized as semi-finalists in the 2008 International Songwriting Competition. It was "I'm Still Cool", written by both Tye Banks and Hylandah, that garnered the distinction of being named semi-finalists in the R&B/Hip-Hop category. The ISC, which includes dozens of judges from different areas within the music industry, is one of the most widely recognized songwriting competitions in the world. Song submissions are judged on Creativity, Originality, Lyrics, Melody, and Arrangement. This was the first time either artist had entered the competition.
